« For the creation of 2012, I imagined one body with many bodies, a nucleus composed of several elements, a group of individuals bound together like an egg, each of them seeking its place in terms of the others.

An moving entity composed of conflicts. A coherent ball on the outside yet disorganized within. A solid block of heterogeneity.

This led me to think about the ‘Mosh Pit’ and the ‘Pogo’. the Mosh Pit being the space in front of the stage in a concert where people dance the Pogo, the dance of the punks from the late 70’s, consisting of jumping into each other, pushing and throwing each other around.

A shapeless mass of individuals colliding.

It reminded me also of images of battles, war, I thought about the difficulty of each individual to find our place in our contemporary society. I also thought about schools of fish, flocks of birds or packs of animals.

And on a completely different level, the human brain and its multiple colliding thoughts. »
